Develop Packaging Around the Sales Program
Keychain packaging should be selected according to the buyer’s distribution channel, product value, branding requirements and shipping method. Promotional giveaways may only require individual poly bags, while retail and private label programs may need printed cards, labels, gift boxes or custom color boxes.

Individual Bags and Standard Packing
Individual poly bags are suitable for wholesale orders, promotional programs and products that do not require retail presentation. They help separate finished keychains and reduce direct contact between metal surfaces during transport.
The bag size should fit the assembled keychain without excessive empty space. For products with longer chains, large rings or hooks, the packing method should prevent tangling and surface rubbing.
Protective film, paper inserts or additional wrapping may be required for polished metal, printed acrylic or other surfaces that are more sensitive to scratches. Standard packing details should be confirmed before the final quotation.
Printed Cards, Labels and Retail Packs
Printed backing cards can display the buyer’s brand, product information, barcode or other required content. The card dimensions, hole position, product attachment method and printing area must match the finished keychain.
Hang tags, adhesive labels and barcode labels can also be added where required. Buyers should provide print-ready artwork and confirm the information that must appear on the packaging.

Gift Boxes and Custom Printed Boxes
Gift boxes are suitable for premium promotional programs, branded merchandise and retail collections. Common structures may include paper boxes, rigid gift boxes and custom printed color boxes, depending on the product and order requirements.
The box structure should hold the keychain securely and prevent unnecessary movement during shipment. Inserts, slots or internal cards may be required for heavier metal keychains or products with multiple components.
Custom box cost and MOQ depend on the dimensions, material, printing, surface treatment, insert structure and order quantity. Packaging samples or digital artwork confirmation may be required before mass production.
Packaging Sample and Pre-Production Approval
Packaging should be approved together with the product whenever the order includes custom printing, labels or a special box structure. A pre-production sample helps confirm dimensions, artwork position, printed colors, barcode readability and how the finished keychain fits inside.
The buyer should check:
- Packaging dimensions and structure
- Brand name and logo position
- Printed colors and text
- Barcode or label information
- Product orientation inside the pack
- Ring, chain and accessory arrangement
- Protection against scratches and movement
- Export carton quantity and carton marks
The approved product and packaging specifications are then transferred to bulk production.
Packing Inspection and Export Cartons
During bulk packing, we check the packaging type, product quantity, label position, printed content and internal arrangement against the approved specification. Finished packs are also reviewed for visible damage, missing accessories and incorrect products.
Export carton requirements should define the number of pieces per carton, carton dimensions, gross weight, shipping marks and any required labels. The packing method may be adjusted according to the product weight, destination and shipping arrangement.
